Artisan chocolate workshop arrived in Barquisimeto
Within the framework of the Venezuela Tierra de Cacao project, and thanks to an alliance with the Salesian community of Venezuela, the first Curso de Chocolatería Artesanal (Artisanal Chocolatier Cours)e was held at the María Auxiliadora School in Barquisimeto. The 20 participants, among whom are 13 school representatives, 3 workers, and 4 teachers, received training from the chocolate teachers of Garua de Cacao, Zaida Pinto, and Maigualida González. During the course, they made chocolates of liqueur and sweet pepper with the Belgian method, and peanut pralines with the French method.
Advanced cutting workshop for Emprendedoras de la belleza (Beauty Entrepreneurs)
On November 01st, 08th and 15th, the Advanced Cutting Workshop was held in Invecapi, El Rosal, facilitated by Isabel Briceño and the founder of Dinas Espacios, Dinorah Llovera. For the first time in a long time the number of participants was exceeded. Of 15 available places, 20 were accepted due to the high interest among the graduates of the seven cohorts of Emprendedoras de la Belleza (Beauty Entrepreneurs)
Graduates of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving Your Future) presented a business plan
On November 13th, Joe Mujica, José Morales and David Torrealba, graduates of the 5th cohort of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving your Future) 8, and Ángel Guerra of the 2nd cohort, shared their business plans at the Impact Hub Caracas facilities with an evaluating jury formed by Mariloly Méndez, César Córdoba and Endrina Cerró, members of the Trabajo y Persona team. Soon, these young people will start their ventures in the areas of general automotive mechanics and technical maintenance services for hardware and software in computers and cellular phones, as well as providing Wi-Fi Internet access.
Entrepreneurs of Guatire received training on artisanal chocolate
The Curso de Chocolatería Artesanal (Artesanal Chocolatier Curse) in Guatire was held from November 12th to 27th within the framework of Venezuela Tierra de Cacao project. The 19 participants, belonging to the 1st Cohort of Emprendedoras del Chocolate (Chocolate Entrepreneurs) in this town, worked with the chocolate teachers and graduates of Trabajo y Persona, Marifé Mata and Marlene Briceño, from whom they learned the techniques of temperament, the preparation of chocolate beggar’s purse and tablets, as well as a liqueur and sweet pepper chocolates with the Belgian technique, and peanut pralines using the French technique.
Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving for Your Future) graduates its 5th cohort
After 3 months of training and learning, on November 16th, 21 participants of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving for Your Future) program received their certification in Mecánica básica del automóvil (Basic Automotive Mechanics) by the University of Carabobo. The graduation ceremony was held in the Cinema Art Patio Trigal. In attendance were relatives of the graduates and allies who made possible the 5th cohort of this program, such as representatives of Optimus Consultores, FUNDAUC, Ford Motor of Venezuela, and Trabajo y Persona.
Coffee and chocolate with social impact
Within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, on November 16th, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UCAB organized the forum Coffee and Chocolate with social impact, in order to share with the Ucabista community the experiences of both sectors. In this activity, Alejandro Marius, president of Trabajo y Persona, presented the experience of the San Juan and San Benito collections, both chocolates with social impact elaborated with different sponsors for the continuous formation of the Emprendedoras del Chocolate (Chocolate Entrepreneurs) program.
Basic course of diagnosis and automotive scanning
On December 1st, the Curso básico de diagnóstico y escaneo de automóviles (basic course on automotive diagnosis and automotive scanning) was carried out, in which 7 graduates from different cohorts of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving for Your Future) participated. It took place in the vehicle repair shop of José Tigrero, who graduated from the 1st cohort, with the facilitation of Mechatronic Automotive Services C.A. The course was carried out under the theoretical-practical modality, in which the graduates had the opportunity to know in depth the aspects related to the handling of scanners and fault detection in vehicles.
Cuidadores 360 (Caregivers 360): the new Trabajo y Persona program
On November 21st began the Trabajo y Persona Cuidadores 360 (Caregivers 360) diploma, conducted with the purpose of training people willing to provide their service as caregivers to seniors and people with special health needs. The opening class was attended by 25 participants of this program, in addition to the allies Patricia Fuentes Gimón, of Ford Motor of Venezuela; Rafael Mucci, from Central University of Venezuela; Yndira Díaz, academic coordinator of the project; and for Trabajo y Persona, Alejandro Marius, Mariloly Méndez and Milagros Sánchez.
– Nancy Silva, Emprendedora del Chocolate (Chocolate Entrepreneur), obtained 2nd place in the Citi Award for the Microentrepreneur 2018 in the “production” category. Congratulations!
– José Tigrero, a graduate of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving for Your Future), was awarded 2nd place in the Citi Microentrepreneur Award 2018 in the “service” category. Congratulations!
– Karen Rojas and Thais Visbal, graduates of the 1st cohort of Emprendedoras del Chocolate (Chocolate Entrepreneur) of Petare; and María Pineda, 2014 graduate, participated in the 16th Bancaribe Solidarity Fair held on November 9th.
– Joangel Acosta, José Morales, and David Torrealba graduates of the 5th cohort of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving for Your Future), began internships on November 19th in the vehicle repair shop of José Tigrero, who is also a graduate of the program and who additionally becomes tutor of these young people.
– Janeth Rivera and Isaura Guerrero, both Emprendedora de Chocolate (Chocolate Entrepreneur), offered their products on November 19th at the Digitel Christmas Bazaar.
– Yani Colmenares, a graduate from the Formación de Formadores (Training of Trainers) of Emprendedoras de la Belleza (Beauty Entrepreneurs) program, conducted workshops in eyebrow depilation, Russian eyelash coloring, upper lip hair removal, and eyelash extensions. These were held in November at her residence in Barquisimeto, Edo. Lara,
– Héctor Carvallo and Rubén Guevara, graduates of the 4th cohort and 5th cohort of Conduciendo Tu Futuro (Driving for Your Future) respectively, obtained scholarships to start studies in Automotive Technology at the University Institute of Industrial Technology (IUITI), Valencia.
– Geraldine Melo, the graduate of the 1st Cohort of Emprendedoras del Chocolate (Chocolate Entrepreneur) in Petare, began her internships in November in Bitácora Cacao.
